Itwasabeautifulsummerday,thekindofdaythatmakesyoufeelalive.Thesunwasshining,andthebirdswerechirping.Theprotagonist,ayounggirlofsixteen,waswalkinghomefromschool.Shehadjustfinishedherfinalexamsandwaslookingforwardtoalongvacation.
